No other words needed really apart from I think I have a new favourite restaurant! Big claims!

This place is in the heart of chinatown/ the gay village and you could quite easily walk past if you didn't know what you were looking for. The decor is understated on first glance but as you look at little more you realise its actually really well designed, plus and pretty high end! We visited just before closing and were still invited to take a seat which I also liked a lot....they did not really have to let us so it was fantastic that they did!

We looked over the menu and to be quick I decided to ask the waitress about salads....she said we dont do salads....I asked about healthy options....she smiled and said...in a Korean resturant....its pretty difficult...which is a good point but I was happy I just had a bit of a treat!

I went for the beef teriyaki which was the best I have ever had and a beef and spinach soup which was amazing. I also tried by friends pork belly dish...honestly....I had major food envy....it was one of the best tasting plates I have had in a while. My broteher and his gf were also blown away by both the service and the quality of the disches.

I cant recomend this place enough. Go there...enjoy....and invite me! Thanks x

Miss Korea is tucked away in the west side of Chinatown opposite a rather convenient car park. It's in the centre of a string of modern Asian restaurants. This restaurant has been busy every time iv visited but Iv always been able to get seats within 5-10 minutes. The furniture is modern and their huge panes of window glass are street view facing. Each table has a bbq grill in the centre. They sell meat which you can bbq yourself along with vegetables. This is quite a cool experience, they bring coal to your table and drop it into the bowl underneath the grill.

On this occasion I ordered Bibimbop. This a layered dish consisting of rice, vegetables, tofu and a raw cracked egg on top. The stone bowl is hot so everything inside starts to cook immediately. You can add chilli/spiced sauce to your liking and then mix it all up with your chopsticks. The rice goes crispy at the bottom and the egg coats the vegetables and cooks at the same time. It's a great tasting dish and I would highly recommend it for its uniqueness and experience alone.

If your looking for authentic Korean food at a great place this hidden little secret is a great option!

Well I've no idea how someone would only give a one star review-this place was fantastic-glad I trusted my friend Julie's judgement! Having walked past a few weeks ago and thinking it looked like an interesting place to go, I was really excited when Julie arranged an unofficial yelp event (with Vicky being away) and it didn't disappoint!
The restaurant is very simply decorated wood panel with simple wood lamp shades, dark tables and comfortable soft brown chairs. No other art work or adornments, but it didn't need it.
Our waitress was friendly and attentive, which was good as most of us had never been before.
Despite not eating seafood there was still a massive choice of things to eat -it took a while to decide. We had chicken  gyoza to start which were delicious! I chose spicy Pork with vegetables and rice as my main-Nom Nom!  Korean dishes seem to have different spices to the Chinese and Japanese food I've had before and it was a really nice change:) starters were between £1-8 and mains around £7/8.  The red wine I drank was delicious too! We didn't  look at deserts as we were too full!
We would all go back again-to try the barbecue in the centre of the table-it looked so good!!

I've made bibimbap at home and have always been intrigued to try the real deal. So when Julie suggested a Yelp meal at Miss Korea I knew I had to go for beef bibimbap.

Miss Korea is a smart but cosy restaurant just round the corner from the Arcadian. I love the wooden walls, sleek black tables and cosy seats. Staff were really friendly and the drinks menu had a good variety of wines, beers and Korean soft drinks. Edward D and I shared a reasonably priced bottle of wine and I had a crushed pear Korean soft drink which came in the cutest can.

We all shared kimchi to start, which is very tasty pickled cabbage. Nicer than it sounds. It had a good tang and was crunchy not slimy. Next we had tasty chicken gyoza which were little parcels of joy!

Onto the main- beef bibimbap. I'd loved the one I made myself so had high hopes. I was not disappointed. Beautiful marinaded beef, crunchy veg and pickled cabbage on top of gorgeous sticky rice. It is topped with a raw egg which you mix in alongside a tangy slightly-spicy sauce. It such a tasty and comforting meal- I'll definitely be trying the other options such as seafood.

I'll definitely be back to try both the bokumbap and the table bbq options.
Thanks so much Julie for organising.

I went to this place twice! I had different meals each time and the food quality is pretty good! The prices are regular compared to other restaurants and the staff are so friendly!
